I Admire Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett is the most successful investor of the twentieth century. His first investment was at the age of seven. He is the second richest man in the world, yet he lives a very simple life in a three bedroom house, purchased more than forty years ago when he got married. He does not have a cell phone or a computer. I admire his simplicity and personality. Even after having a net worth of 62 billion dollars Warren Buffett is not arrogant and does not show off his wealth materialistically. He donated 31 billion dollars to charity and has become an inspiration for many people around the world including me.

The following is Warren Buffett’s advice to young people:
“Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and above all remember:

Money doesn't create man, but it is the man who created money.

Live your life as simple as you are.

Don't do what others say. Just listen to them, but do what makes you feel good.

Don't go on brand name. Wear those things in which you feel comfortable.

Don't waste your money on unnecessary things. Spend on those who really are in need.

After all, it's your life. Why give others the chance to rule your life?”

The following are some of Warren Buffett’s quotes:
“Of the billionaires I have known, money just brings out the basic traits in them. If they were jerks before they had money, they are simply jerks with a billion dollars.”
“If past history was all there was to the game, the richest people would be librarians.”
“A very rich person should leave his kids enough to do anything but not enough to do nothing.”
“Wall Street is the only place that people ride to work in a Rolls Royce to get advice from those who take the subway.”
